What kind of wedding venue is Bredon Manor?

Bredon Manor is a private early 18th-century Georgian manor and exclusive-use wedding venue near Cheltenham, on the northern edge of the Cotswolds. We host only a small number of weddings each year, with the estate available exclusively for the whole weekend.Couples can celebrate in the Barn with up to 80 seated guests or hold a marquee wedding on the front lawn for up to 150 guests. St Giles’ Church is next door, and accommodation is available on the estate.

Where is Bredon Manor?

Bredon Manor is in the village of Bredon, near Tewkesbury, on the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire border at the northern edge of the Cotswolds.We are approximately seven minutes from Tewkesbury, 25 minutes from Cheltenham, one hour from Bristol and Birmingham, and around two and a half hours from London. Ashchurch for Tewkesbury is our nearest railway station.

Do we have exclusive use of Bredon Manor?

Yes. Each wedding has exclusive use of the estate and wedding spaces for the whole weekend, including the Barn, gardens, pool area, Coach House and Manor House Lodge.Bredon Manor is also our family home, which is why we host only a small number of weddings each year and build each celebration around the couple.

Can we have a church wedding?

Accepted Answer

Yes. St Giles’ Church is licensed for weddings and is immediately next door to Bredon Manor. A private gate leads directly from the churchyard into our garden, allowing you and your guests to walk straight from the ceremony to the reception.Couples should contact the parish directly and will need to meet the usual Church of England eligibility requirements.

Is Bredon Manor licensed for civil ceremonies?

Accepted Answer

Bredon Manor itself is not licensed for legal civil ceremonies. Couples can marry at St Giles’ Church next door or complete the legal formalities separately before holding a celebrant-led ceremony or blessing in the grounds or Barn.

Can we have an outdoor ceremony?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The lawn in front of the Manor House is a beautiful setting for a celebrant-led ceremony or blessing. If the weather changes, the Barn can provide a wet-weather alternative.

Is Bredon Manor LGBTQ+ friendly?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.  Bredon Manor is LGBTQ+ owned and personally run by husbands Charlie and Peter.  We welcome LGBTQ+ couples and couples of every identity and build each wedding weekend around the people getting married without assumptions, fixed templates or set packages.
